Encouraging Engagement from Leading Employers

One of the most exciting aspects of developing Novaris has been the opportunity to meet with organisations that share our belief in investing in the next generation of talent.

We are not short of talent. We are short of opportunity. And it is costing everyone.

Organisations are paying more than ever for people who are not fully work-ready.  Businesses are struggling to find reliable support to grow, and millions of young people are still being told: “You do not have enough experience.”

Think about that.

We have built a system where you need experience to get a job, but you cannot get experience without a job – a paradox - and then we wonder why productivity is low, staff turnover is high and potential is missed.

Now layer in reality:

  • Young people leaving education without real-world exposure

  • Those in SEND, NEET or underserved groups facing even greater barriers

  • Businesses trying to scale without the right support

  • Organisations absorbing rising costs without improving performance

This is not a talent problem. It’s a system problem.

Most solutions try to fix this with:

  • More training

  • More qualifications

  • More recruitment

But they all rely on the same flawed assumption: That potential can be judged in a moment, on a CV, in an interview, on paper.

What We Do:

At Novaris, we work with schools, colleges, local authorities, charities and central government to bridge the gap between education and employment.

Our bespoke 12-week programmes are designed to help young people develop the confidence, skills and real-world experience they need to take their next steps towards meaningful employment. Every programme is tailored to the needs of the participants and delivered through a carefully structured, mentor-led journey that combines personal development with practical workplace experience.

A key part of the Novaris approach is our network of experienced, qualified mentors. Drawn from a wide range of industries and professions, our mentors provide encouragement, guidance and insight throughout the programme, helping participants build confidence, develop professional behaviours and make informed decisions about their future careers.

Participants also benefit from carefully matched work experience opportunities with employers who share our commitment to developing future talent. These placements enable participants to apply what they have learned in a real working environment while building valuable relationships with prospective employers.

Throughout the programme, each participant's progress is supported, monitored and celebrated, ensuring they leave with greater confidence, practical experience and a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to them.

Upon successfully completing the programme, every participant becomes part of the Novaris Talent Pool. This provides employers with access to motivated, work-ready young people who have demonstrated commitment, developed valuable workplace skills and are ready to begin the next stage of their career journey. For participants, it means continued access to employment opportunities, employer connections and ongoing support beyond the initial 12-week programme.

By bringing together education, mentoring and employers, Novaris creates a practical pathway from learning into lasting employment—helping individuals realise their potential while giving businesses access to the next generation of skilled and motivated talent.

The Novaris Connect Portal:

A live, developing talent pool

Participants are continually evaluated and more importantly they are supported and mentored.  They develop and evolve during their time in the programme and this development is evidenced and visible to all.

Visibility into real capability

Participants, sponsors and mentors have access in real time to our portal that tracks progress and provides visibility into the development and capabilities of the participants.

A pathway that works for all

This is NOT a programme that's exclusively for academic "high flyers". Everyone has a right to the sense of wellbeing and satisfaction that employment brings.  Our programme caters for everyone.

The Outcome?:

  • Organisations reduce cost and improve performance

  • Staff turnover is significantly reduced because hiring decisions are better informed

  • Young people access real, meaningful opportunity

  • Overlooked talent is finally seen

This is not about fixing recruitment.  It's about rebuilding the pathway between potential and performance.
